Visuals and Victuals Paintings by Loetitia S. Lilot
Cow Vision | 1995 | 11" x 11" | oils on board
This enlarged cow's eye enables the viewer to get a glimpse into what's behind the seemingly docile, placid stance of the bovine. She is well aware of the fate that awaits her at the end of her productive milking days. The teardrop can be viewed as a memory of her happier days. In return for giving her life-sustaining milk, she would like to be loved and cared for until her last days. She does not think she deserves to meet her end like this!
